Who publishes this, how it is sourced, and what it will never do.

Who publishes it

odooerp.ca is published by Solvync Inc., a Certified Odoo Implementation Partner based in Calgary, Alberta. Solvync implements Odoo for Canadian businesses.

That is a conflict of interest, stated up front. A firm that sells Odoo implementations has an obvious reason to make Odoo look good. The structure of this site is the answer to that problem: it carries no sales pages, quotes no implementation prices, and cites a checkable source for every factual claim. Where Odoo is a poor fit, it says so plainly, and the Canadian payroll gap is the clearest example.

This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Odoo S.A. Odoo is a trademark of Odoo S.A. For the official product documentation, go to odoo.com/documentation.

How claims are sourced

Three source classes are permitted here, in this order of authority.

  1. 01The Odoo documentation source. Capability, module and behaviour claims are checked against a version-pinned local copy of the official documentation repository, currently 19.4. Citations give the file path and, where a claim is specific, the line range.
  2. 02The public source repository. Edition questions are settled by testing whether a module’s directory exists in the open-source addons/ tree on the 19.0 branch. The exact command is published on the editions page so the result can be reproduced.
  3. 03odoo.com. Pricing comes from odoo.com and nowhere else, and it always carries the date it was read. The current figures were verified on 2026-07-24.

What this site refuses to publish

These constraints are what keep the reference useful. They are deliberate, and they cost us leads.

  • Implementation prices, effort estimates, or delivery timelines. Any honest figure depends on scope, and a number without scope is marketing.
  • Solvync capability claims, client counts, partner tiers, or case studies. Those belong on solvync.com where they can be judged as sales material.
  • Tax rates presented as advice. How Odoo's fiscal positions work is documentable. Which rate is correct for your supply is a question for a CPA.
  • Pricing without the date it was read and the post-discount renewal figure beside it.
  • Comparison content that exists to rank rather than to inform.

If you want the commercial side

Implementation cost, partner selection, migration planning and scoping all live on solvync.com. They are sales material, and separating them from this reference is the point.

Reporting an error

Corrections are welcome and get fixed

Odoo changes. Modules move between editions, prices change, and new country localizations get added, so some claim on this site will eventually be wrong. If you find one, write to Solvync through solvync.com/contact with the page and what you believe is incorrect.

Every claim here cites its source specifically enough for you to check it before you write, which is the whole design intent.
