Odoo pricing in Canada
Odoo publishes its Canadian pricing in CAD. The figures below are transcribed from that page, with the introductory discount separated from the renewal price, because the two are quoted together and only one of them is what you pay in year two.
The published plans
Odoo’s published Canadian pricing is CAD 35.20 per user per month for the Standard plan and CAD 55.00 per user per month for Custom, both on yearly billing and both introductory for 12 months. On monthly billing the same plans are CAD 44.00 and CAD 69.00, which is also what they renew at once the introductory period ends.

Read the discount footnote before you budget
Odoo shows the Standard monthly price struck through at CAD 55.00 and the Custom monthly price struck through at CAD 86.00. The footnote reads, verbatim: “The discount is valid for 12 months, for initial users ordered.”
Two consequences. Your year-two subscription is higher than your year-one subscription. And users you add after the initial order are not covered by the same discount, so a team that grows mid-term will not see the headline rate applied evenly across seats.
What Custom adds over Standard
Both paid plans include all apps. The difference sits in deployment and extensibility.

External API access is the line that most often forces the upgrade. Any integration with a shipping provider, a payment gateway outside the built-in set, an e-commerce platform, a warehouse system, or your own reporting stack goes through that API. If your evaluation includes the word “integrate” anywhere, you are pricing Custom.
Multi-company matters for Canadian groups holding an operating company and a holding company, or separate provincial entities. That is a common structure here, and it also lands on Custom.
The costs the per-user price excludes
The subscription buys the software. Four other lines belong in any honest budget, and none of them appear on the pricing page.
- 01Implementation. Configuration, chart of accounts, tax setup, workflow design, and the decisions that make the system match how you operate. Usually the largest single line in year one.
- 02Data migration. Getting customers, products, open balances, and history out of the current system and into a state your accountant will sign off on. Cost tracks data quality, and data quality is usually worse than expected.
- 03Training and adoption. The cost of your team learning the new system, plus the productivity dip during cutover. Real, and routinely left out.
- 04Integrations and hosting extras. Odoo.sh carries a hosting fee above the per-user subscription. Third-party apps from the Odoo Apps store are priced separately. Custom integrations are project work.

The two senses of “free”
One App Free is a hosted plan: one app, unlimited users, on Odoo Online, at no charge. It is a real offer and a reasonable way to trial a single area such as CRM.
Odoo Community is different: free open-source software you host yourself, with no licence fee and no user limit. The catch is which apps are in it. Full Accounting, Field Service, Helpdesk, Studio, Subscriptions, Planning, Documents, Sign, and Payroll are all absent from the open-source codebase.

What happens to the price after the first year?
The discounted rate applies for 12 months and to the initial users ordered. Budget renewal at the undiscounted figure, and budget any users added later at the rate applicable when you add them.
