Worth knowing before you commit
Vehicle types are fixed and cannot be extended. Odoo holds them constant to protect the Payroll integration, where a vehicle can count as an employee benefit.
A driver does not have to be an employee. Creating one adds a record in Fleet and Contacts rather than in Employees.
In Canada
Fleet for a Canadian business
Personal use of a company vehicle is a taxable benefit in Canada and belongs on the T4. Odoo's Fleet records the vehicle and its costs; it does not compute the Canadian benefit, and with no Canadian payroll localization there is nothing downstream to carry it.
